April 7-8 - Joint Meeting with SNCA

Bistro 7 in Reno

It's time to go to the Biggest Little City in the World!  The NCA & WNV Chapter and the Sierra Nevada Concrete Association are pleased to announce their first joint meeting in four years, and they have put together a great event.

Start off with an exceptional dinner on Thursday night (April 7th) at Bistro 7, 7111 S. Virginia Street, Reno.  The Social Half-Hour will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by dinner at 6 pm.  Entree selections include Steak Frites, Chicken Picatta, or Vegetarian Pasta, and a delicious dessert.

Bistro 7 provides a great social environment and excellent food.

The Concrete Preservation Institute (CPI) will be the guest speaker for the evening. The CPI Foundation is a proven public/private partnership program working with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Interior, and with industry companies across the country. The program benefits the United States and its taxpayers by combining the strengths and needs of three national concerns: our military veterans, our infrastructure, and our national parks.  Helping service members avoid potential military-to-civilian transition pitfalls, CPI offers career preparation and placement for service members of all military branches during their last year of active duty service. CPI’s hands-on career training program, available to service members during their last 6 months of service, completes significant structural repair, new construction, deferred maintenance, and safety & access projects in national parks and public sites; current locations are Alcatraz Island and Pearl Harbor with additional planned sites across the U.S.  Construction companies who design, build, supply, and maintain structures and infrastructure, many of which are critically in need of trades & management workforce across the country, sponsor CPI’s programs and hire alumni for careers in contracting, production, transportation, sales, service, and related areas.

Following dinner, connect with fellow industry members to enjoy a bit of Reno's nightlife.  Attendees are responsible for making their own overnight accommodations, but a few nearby locations are shown on the Chapter's Events webpage.

After a good night's sleep, grab some breakfast, and then spend Friday morning (April 8th) with your friends on the links.  Tee time is 11 a.m.  No tournament, no pressure.  Just a nice round of golf at Lakeridge, a premier semi private golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., offering breathtaking views of Reno and the surrounding mountains. The facility's signature hole, number 15, is a world famous par 3 set high atop Lake Stanley to an enticing island green. Come see why Lakeridge has been voted "Best of Reno" year after year.

Lakeridge's 15th hole at Lake Stanley overlooks downtown Reno.

Reservations are REQUIRED by noon, April 1st at https://aci-ncawnv.org/Events.

Dinner:    Chapter and SNCA Members - $49, Non-Members - $64

Golf:    $75 per player
