Chapter management continues to monitor the impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in our communities, and we wanted to assure you we are doing our best to stay up to date with information from local, state and federal health agencies. The well-being of our members, volunteers, staff, and customers is of the utmost importance to us.
In order to comply with jurisdictional restrictions imposed on the congregation of almost every size of group, the Chapter has temporarily suspended all events and programs scheduled through May 2020. Future registrations for certification programs have been discontinued until such time as it is safe to resume the courses, and currently registered applicants have been accommodated. The Chapter is waiving the rescheduling fee to those paid registrants willing to take their course at a later date; refunds will be issued upon request. Certification Coordinator Liese Hironaka is in the process of contacting Certification candidates and personnel to keep everyone informed and to answer questions.
Unfortunately, the 15th ACI Golf Classic will be postponed to May 2021. Co-Chairs Rowdy Cordero and Robert Hightower would like to thank the firms already registered as sponsors, and assure them refunds will be provided in the next few days. We sincerely appreciate their support of this wonderful event, and hope they will all sign up to sponsor and play again next year!
The Sierra Nevada Concrete Association has recently cancelled its 2020 Concrete Expo, so the ACI/SNCA joint meeting scheduled in April the night before will not take place. The Chapter Annual Meeting, typically held in June, may be postponed to a later date. Please continue to check this website for updated information.
The Chapter sincerely regrets the necessity of suspending operations for a period of time, but hopes everyone will focus on staying safe and remaining healthy in the coming weeks.
