Staff Prepares to Reopen Certification Program

Chapter anticipating easing of shelter-in-place restrictions

Certification Program Managers Tom Fourre and Kevin Owen, as well as Certification Coordinator Liese Hironaka, are working closely with Chapter Administration Manager Miki Craig to be ready to move quickly once California’s shelter-in-place restrictions are lifted.  Although Governor Newsom has yet to provide a specific date, staff is contacting sponsoring venues for its June and July programs to confirm their willingness to continue hosting these essential certification examinations.  Social distancing requirements may remain in place for some time, so session sizes will likely be reduced at many locations.  Additional requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE) will also need to be addressed.

BAM Craig continues to monitor changes in the State’s and Northern California Counties’  COVID-19 responses to assist Certification Program personnel in their efforts.  She is also anticipating the reactivation of the certification registration system on the Chapter’s website.

Members and certification applicants are encouraged to frequently check the Chapter’s website at aci-ncawnv.orgfor status updates as things may change rapidly.

The Chapter staff would like to thank all the officers, directors, members and certification applicants for their support and patience during the last few months.  Please continue to be safe and stay healthy!
