The Northern California & Western Nevada Chapter has identified the location of its new Chapter Certification Center, offering a clean, flexible space in support of the concrete industry participating in ACI’s Certification Program.
The Center will provide a wide range of certification programs, including Adhesive Anchor Installer, Aggregate Base Testing Technician, Aggregate Testing Technician—Level 1, Aggregate Testing Technician—Level 2, Concrete Construction Special Inspector, Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I, Concrete Flatwork Associate and Advanced Finisher, Concrete Flatwork Finisher, Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician-Level 2, Concrete Quality Technical Manager, Concrete Strength Testing Technician, Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector, Masonry Field Testing Technician, Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician, and Post-Installed Concrete Anchor Installation Inspector. Additional ACI programs may be added as interest is expressed.
Designed for in-person training and examination, the facility features a spacious classroom and comprehensive laboratory. Certification sessions hosted by the Center will kick off in January 2026 and will be held weekdays throughout the year. Some Saturday sessions will be scheduled as needed to accommodate demand. Mobile sessions in Redding, Reno, Bakersfield, and Fresno will continue to be offered several times a year on Saturdays. Candidates will continue to register and pay through the Chapter’s website.
For more than 35 years the Chapter has been providing Saturday certification programs. It is mindful this transition to weekday scheduling may be challenging for technicians and employers alike. We hope the centralized location, improved accommodations, and expanded availability will lessen the initial discomfort.
Last but not least, the Center will also serve as a hub for the Chapter to hold meetings, workshops, and networking events, aiming to strengthen professional communities. We hope you will continue to watch this website for updates and photos of the build-out, and opportunities to tour the new facility and meet the new Chapter Certification Center Manager, Emily Boirum. With its dedication to serving our local concrete industry, the Chapter Certification Center marks a significant step forward for the organization.
