Chapter Certification Center Update

The Center Starts to Take Shape!

Walls have been torn down to create the training room large enough to accommodate 32 candidates. Electrical and plumbing modifications are underway to build out the Lab area.  This Center is specifically designed to provide convenient, effective, and consistent Certification sessions. Chapter Business Administration Manager Miki Craig has ordered and scheduled delivery of furnishings, fixtures, and supplies.  Chapter Certification Center Manager Emily Boirum is bringing together (and assembling with a little help from Miki and Vice President Jim Ayala) furnishings and equipment.

Designed for in-person training and examination, the facility features a spacious trainiang room and comprehensive laboratory.  Certification sessions hosted by the Center will formally kick off in January 2026 and will be held weekdays throughout the year.  Some Saturday sessions will be scheduled as needed to accommodate demand.  Mobile sessions in Redding, Reno, Bakersfield, and Fresno will continue to be offered several times a year on Saturdays.  Candidates will continue to register and pay through the Chapter’s website.

Take a quick video walkthrough of the front office and kitchen, lab with roll-up door, and offices and classroom. The video was shot the first part of August.

The following images were taken at the Center the first two weeks of August.
