
Thomas Joseph Fourre of Escalon California passed away on May 8, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. Survived by wife Donna; children Robert (Charice), Tommy and Monica "Hazel;" grandchildren Ezri and Roland; sisters Katheen, Mary Darling (Ed Riggins), and Anne Marie (Tom Farris); and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. A native San Franciscan, Tom served in the Air Force and later worked in construction.
He was a longtime employee of Cemex and for many years a Scout leader. His preferred method of transportation since a teenager was riding his Harley Davidson.
Tom was one of two dedicated Certification Program Managers for the Northern California and Western Nevada Chapter of the American Concrete Institute. Thousands of people received technical training from Tom over the years and benefitted by his knowledge, generosity and good humor. Tom was also the equipment manager for the Chapter, keeping a large set of testing hardware calibrated and updated.
Funeral Mass will be at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Alameda, 11am on Saturday June 20. Celebration of Life will be at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3199 in Modesto, at 2pm Sunday July 12. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Alameda.
