The joint SNCA/ACI meeting was a success in Reno, Nevada, on April 7th at the restaurant Bistro 7. Tanya Komas, Ph.D., the Founding Director & President/CEO of the Concrete Preservation Institute, traveled out to talk to us about their overall mission and the projects that they have been working on over the years. She highlighted some of the challenges that military personnel experience transitioning back into civilian life and how CPI is working to prepare and place transitioning veterans in careers within our industry.

On the following morning of April 8th, a group of fifteen of us went out for a round of golf at LakeRidge Golf Course in Reno.  This outting was very well received by our ACI and SNCA members.  The weather was in the 70's and it was a perfect day for a round of golf.
